Altamira data scientists have developed a flexible, generalizable, and innovative method for constructing reliable scoring metrics for flight maneuvers. The method uses time series sensor data from examples of expert-level performance to construct an idealized maneuver trajectory in a high-dimensional space that encodes the allowable variability exhibited by those experts. Quantitative measures of maneuver performance are necessary elements of any proficiency-based pilot training effort.
