Who are we:

The Microsoft Aviation Training Environment (MATE) will provide the United States Air Force (USAF), Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Education and Training Command (AETC), and Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) with a state-of-the-art aviation training platform to accelerate the training between qualified pilot and combat-ready aviator. The solution will provide an easy-access collaborative learning environment, accelerate learning by leveraging data and analyzing individual performance for a tailored experience, and utilize technologies to provide an immersive and realistic simulation experience. MATE is a platform upon which existing services as well as new offerings developed by the USAF, 3rd parties and Microsoft will reside.
