Who are we:

As the Air Force seeks to enhance current CAF training and produce mission-qualified pilots and combat aviators quicker, the need for a robust, in-depth description of combat competencies and aligning them with measures of performance will only become greater. A dynamic competency framework (CF) demonstrates the connections between maneuvers, the competencies required to perform them, and the metrics to assess student proficiency in them. We are currently generating and implementing a dynamic CF for the Pilot Training Next (PTN) program and will bring our refined methods (Perigean's concept mapping) and tools (Eduworks' Competency and Skill System (CaSS)) to CAF to clarify and hasten the combat pilot training pathway.
