VRR’s Above Real-Time Training software enhances transition from simulator training to flight by increasing the apparent rate of time to 1.5x faster; events that would take 90 seconds in the world unfold over 60 seconds. ARTT has been shown to lead to better performance in highly demanding test scenarios than conventional training. ARTT can be used at any level of pilot training and can be adapted into existing simulators including Augmented and Mixed Reality simulators at low cost. ARTT reduces non-effective sorties and the need for re-flys. ARTT research has demonstrated 20% to 42% performance benefits when transitioning from simulator training to higher demand operations across multiple domains including air combat and tank gunnery.
